What I treat

One physiotherapist, four kinds of work.

Every appointment starts the same way — a proper assessment, an explanation you can follow, and a plan you can actually carry out between visits. All four are available as a home visit, and at the clinic once it opens.

S/01

General physiotherapy

Assessment, diagnosis and hands-on treatment for back and neck pain, joint problems, post-operative recovery and persistent pain — plus a written exercise program set up in the space where you'll actually do it.

For people recovering from surgery or illness, managing ongoing pain, or wanting a second opinion.

S/02

Older adults and aged care

Balance and strength programs, falls risk assessment, mobility and transfer review, walking aid set-up, and advice on equipment and the home environment. I work alongside facility staff, care workers and families so the plan carries on between visits.

For residents in aged care, people on home care funding, and families arranging support for a parent.

S/03

Musculoskeletal and sports injuries

Assessment and diagnosis of joint, muscle and tendon problems, manual therapy, and progressive loading programs through to return to sport or work. Background in club soccer and AFL settings, so training load and season timing get factored in.

For athletes, weekend runners, gym-goers, and anyone with a niggle that hasn't settled.

S/04

NDIS therapy supports

Functional and mobility assessments, transfer and manual handling programs, equipment trials and prescription, capacity-building exercise programs, and written reports for plan reviews and funding requests.

For self-managed and plan-managed participants, support coordinators and plan managers.

How it works

Four steps, start to finish.

STEP 01

Get in touch

Call or send the enquiry form. We'll talk through what's going on, whether a home visit or clinic appointment suits you better, and how it's being funded.

STEP 02

First appointment

About 60 minutes. History, physical assessment, an explanation of what's driving the problem, and treatment starting the same visit.

STEP 03

Your plan

A written program set to your goals and your surroundings, with equipment suggestions where they help. You'll know what to do between sessions and why.

STEP 04

Review and report

Follow-ups spaced to suit your recovery, with the program adjusted as you progress. Reports to your GP, plan manager, insurer or facility as required.

Paying for treatment

Six ways your visits can be funded.

Not sure which one applies to you? Call and we'll work it out together before you commit to anything.

Private

Self-funded

No referral needed — you can book directly. Payment on the day by card or bank transfer, with an itemised invoice emailed to you.

Extras cover

Private health insurance

If your extras cover includes physiotherapy, you'll receive an itemised receipt with my provider number to claim through your fund's app or website.

Rebates vary by fund and policy — check your level of cover before your first visit.

NDIS

NDIS participants

Available to self-managed and plan-managed participants. Services are delivered and invoiced in line with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.

Service agreements and plan-review reports are provided as standard.

Aged care

Aged care funding

Visits to residential aged care facilities, and to people receiving in-home aged care funding. Invoices are issued directly to the provider where that arrangement is in place.

WorkSafe VIC

WorkCover

Treatment for accepted work-related injury claims. Bring your claim number and a referral from your treating GP, and I'll handle the invoicing with the insurer.

TAC

Transport accident injuries

Treatment for accepted TAC claims following a transport accident. Bring your claim number and GP referral; invoices go directly to the TAC.

Medicare chronic condition management referrals from your GP are also accepted. A gap payment usually applies — ask when you book and you'll be told the exact amount before your visit.

Home visit service area

Across Melbourne, to your door.

These are the suburbs covered for mobile appointments, with travel included. If you're outside the list, get in touch anyway — it can often still be arranged, and you'll be told about any travel cost before you book.

For organisations

Services for employers and aged care providers.

Alongside patient care, Olympus Therapy contracts directly to organisations — screening candidates against the real physical demands of the role, and training care staff in safe manual handling on their own floor, with their own equipment.

Workforce · Employers

Pre-employment screening and testing

A physiotherapist-led assessment of whether a candidate can safely meet the physical requirements of the job, with a written report you can act on.

  • Lifting, carrying and manual handling capacity testing
  • Fitness-for-duty and return-to-work capacity assessments for existing staff

Common questions

Before you book.

How long has Olympus Therapy been operating?
Since 2021. The practice has been delivering mobile physiotherapy across Melbourne for five years — in private homes, residential aged care facilities and workplaces — and now operates as Olympus Therapy Pty Ltd.
Do I need a referral to see you?
Not for private or private health insurance appointments — physiotherapy is a first-contact profession, so you can book directly. You will need a referral for WorkCover, TAC and Medicare chronic condition management appointments.
Do you have a clinic, or do you only do home visits?
Home, aged care and workplace visits are running now across the Melbourne suburbs listed above. A dedicated clinic space is being set up — register your interest through the enquiry form and you'll be sent the address and opening date as soon as they're confirmed.
What do I need to have ready for a home visit?
Very little. A clear space roughly two metres square, a firm dining chair, and somewhere to sit or lie down. I bring the portable treatment table and equipment. If you have a walking frame, stick, brace or previous exercise sheets, have them handy.
How long is a session?
Initial visits run about 60 minutes. Follow-up visits are usually 30 to 45 minutes depending on what we're working on. Longer sessions can be arranged for complex assessments and equipment trials.
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
Olympus Therapy currently works with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. NDIA-managed participants need a registered provider — registration is in progress, so please get in touch to check the current position.
Do you visit aged care facilities?
Yes. Visits to residential aged care facilities are arranged with the facility's management, and I'll liaise with care staff so the program is carried through between visits. Families are welcome to be present.
We run an aged care facility — how does manual handling training work?
Training is run on site at your facility, using your own hoists, slings and beds so staff practise on the equipment they'll actually use. Sessions are scheduled around your roster, and you'll receive attendance records and competency sign-off for your compliance file. Get in touch with your staff numbers and preferred dates for a quote.
Can a family member or carer sit in?
Absolutely, and it's often useful. Having the person who helps day to day in the room means transfers, exercises and equipment can be shown to both of you at once.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give at least 24 hours' notice so the travel slot can be reallocated. Cancellations inside 24 hours may attract a fee — the full policy is set out in the terms you'll receive when you book.
What are your hours?
Weekday appointments with early morning and evening slots available, plus limited Saturday visits. Tell me what suits you when you enquire and we'll find something.
