How long has Olympus Therapy been operating?
Since 2021. The practice has been delivering mobile physiotherapy across Melbourne for five years — in private homes, residential aged care facilities and workplaces — and now operates as Olympus Therapy Pty Ltd.
Do I need a referral to see you?
Not for private or private health insurance appointments — physiotherapy is a first-contact profession, so you can book directly. You will need a referral for WorkCover, TAC and Medicare chronic condition management appointments.
Do you have a clinic, or do you only do home visits?
Home, aged care and workplace visits are running now across the Melbourne suburbs listed above. A dedicated clinic space is being set up — register your interest through the enquiry form and you'll be sent the address and opening date as soon as they're confirmed.
What do I need to have ready for a home visit?
Very little. A clear space roughly two metres square, a firm dining chair, and somewhere to sit or lie down. I bring the portable treatment table and equipment. If you have a walking frame, stick, brace or previous exercise sheets, have them handy.
How long is a session?
Initial visits run about 60 minutes. Follow-up visits are usually 30 to 45 minutes depending on what we're working on. Longer sessions can be arranged for complex assessments and equipment trials.
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
Olympus Therapy currently works with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. NDIA-managed participants need a registered provider — registration is in progress, so please get in touch to check the current position.
Do you visit aged care facilities?
Yes. Visits to residential aged care facilities are arranged with the facility's management, and I'll liaise with care staff so the program is carried through between visits. Families are welcome to be present.
We run an aged care facility — how does manual handling training work?
Training is run on site at your facility, using your own hoists, slings and beds so staff practise on the equipment they'll actually use. Sessions are scheduled around your roster, and you'll receive attendance records and competency sign-off for your compliance file. Get in touch with your staff numbers and preferred dates for a quote.
Can a family member or carer sit in?
Absolutely, and it's often useful. Having the person who helps day to day in the room means transfers, exercises and equipment can be shown to both of you at once.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give at least 24 hours' notice so the travel slot can be reallocated. Cancellations inside 24 hours may attract a fee — the full policy is set out in the terms you'll receive when you book.
What are your hours?
Weekday appointments with early morning and evening slots available, plus limited Saturday visits. Tell me what suits you when you enquire and we'll find something.
